GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY!!
 
  
 
Osceola High School
celebrated the official groundbreaking for the
 "new high school"
on February 23, 2010 at 9:30 a.m.
The event was hosted by
Clancy & Theys Construction.
 
 
 
The ceremony started at 8:30 a.m. with a Reception/Continental Breakfast.
Osceola High School JROTC
presented the Colors and
 
 
Osceola High School student Helen Blondel sang the
Star Spangled Banner.
Principal Gary Preisser was the Master of Ceremonies.
 
 
 
The event started with songs from the
Osceola High School Newsong Show Choir.
 
 
 
Speakers included Superintendent Dr. Michael Grego,
School Board Chairman Mr. John McKay,
 
    
 
Director of Design & Construction Jose Manent,
CEO of Clancy & Theys Pete Pace and
 
   
 
Representative from C.T. Hsu, Nathan Butler.
 
 
Current Osceola High School Student Council President, 
Krista Altman, spoke on behalf of the student body
and gave a brief history of the origin of Osceola High School.
 
 
Clancy & Theys donated a check in the amount of $2,500.00 to the
Osceola High School Scholarship Fund.
 
  
 
In attendance were OHS Alumni,
Osceola County School Board Members,
 
 
 
 local officials and community members.
 
    
 
  
 
    
 
  It was a great day for the city of Kissimmee and
the community of Osceola High School!
